About Counselling and Psychotherapy
Counselling and psychotherapy is conducted by a trained professional in a clearly contracted relationship with the client. At the heart of psychotherapy and counselling is the establishment of a helpful, non-judgemental, professional relationship.
The purpose of counselling and psychotherapy is to assist the client with difficult issues in their life. This may involve a close focus on the issue itself and may also include a deeper exploration with the client to promote greater self-understanding.
